to Herbal Medicine We’ll begin the day with a lively discussion of uses of common herbs for home remedies, then go out for an herb walk. Along the way we’ll harvest some plants and demonstrate basic medicine making. A great hands-on class for anyone who is curious about herbs.

Join George for a plant walk and talk exploring the conceptual and experiential basis of Earth knowledge as a path of Oneness.
Join Lupo for an introductory class on Flower Essence Therapy. Lupo will offer a deep understanding of how to work with flower essences and share the important role the flowers can play in holistic healing. She will discuss the history of flower essences, the original 38 Bach remedies as well as North American essences, including those which grow in the Vermont area. Class time will also be spent making custom formula for participants to take home. Lupo Connell is a Clinical Herbalist, a Flower Essence Practitioner and an Herbal Educator. She had spent the past decade studying medicinal plants and flower essences in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina. She has lectured extensively on herbalism, flower essence therapy and holistic health throughout the North and Southeast. Lupo recently became the New England Flower Essence Representative and Educator for Flower Essence Services (FES). Lupo lives with her family in New Milford, CT, where she is available for consultations and offers a variety of classes and workshops. She may be reached at plantessence@aol.com.

Your Own Herbal Medicine: Calendula! (part 2 of series) Come prepare medicine from fresh, local, organic calendula flowers. Learn the basics of herbal extraction by preparing a tincture or oil to take home with you, while exploring the history, lore, and modern science behind this common yet incredibly useful plant. This is the second in a series of workshops that follows some of Vermont's medicinal herbs through the growing season and provide participants with a basic apothecary of home herbal remedies. Additional materials cost includes herbs, mason jar(s), certified organic grain alcohol or oil.
Take a journey of the senses straight to the heart! Roses are deep medicine for our soul and have many practical applications for our bodies. Learn about the many uses of this plant, sample rose preparations and treats, and make and take home some summer rose medicine. Additional materials cost includes herbs, jar(s), and supplies.
Participants will learn what Flower Essences are, how to attune to the spirit of a plant or flower, how to make a Flower Essence. How, why and when they are used for emotional, mental and spiritual healing and how to select the appropriate essence(s) using intuitive and deductive methods will be covered. Participants will receive a bottle of the Flower Essence we make together. Fearn Lickfield is a certified Flower Essence Practitioner, Geomancer and facilitator. Herbal
Incense Explore your "Scent-uality" and celebrate your connection to the Goddess in the smoke. Humans are blessed with five senses, and our sense of smell can intimately engage us in our physical and emotional perceptions. In this workshop participants will learn the basics to blending natural, locally available ingredients. We will create cones and loose blends to share and take home. Together we will explore the power of the Earth Spirits. (Participants need to bring a mortar & pestle, mortar capacity minimum of 8 oz.)
